Úgy sejtem, ebben a szobában vagyok,
nem tudom hányadszor, de még életben,
megérteni vágyom ki az ismerős Valaki,
az energia anyagba öntött sűrű szobra,
kiben az élet-kémia pillanatai s az idő
közösen gyártják a tökéletes illúziókat:
a végtagok mozgását, emlékezést, érzést,
az agyamban lépegető billiónyi manót, kik
eszmélet és álom közt váltva, menetelnek,
működtetve anyagomat a végső kondulásig,
mikor az álmomat végül a halál leváltja, 
értelmetlen kérdést faragva az öntudatból.
