March 30th, 2023

I am flying somewhere;
my aspirations whirl beyond the window.
Cute dolphins swim alongside,
piercing clouds with their noses;
Blue stripes mark them as they attempt to escape,
turbulences are rocking us;
cabin crews have started to sell things,
and their teeth are like the keys of a piano;
the cotton buds frolic together;
When I briefly ignore the thoughts,
we were dancing in our St Albans apartment;
You leaned in and nuzzled your nose against my neck,
I am surrounded by metal blocks,
each contains pictures from our life;
strangely, there are images that I have not seen before;
they might be from the future,
or dreams that were never dreamt;
I'm enjoying the turbulence
that shakes the plane as I listen to music;
I want to shroud my heart in chaos,
pushing ludicrous notions in my head;
I yearn for tranquillity,
but I fear I may never regain my sanity.
The plane is shaking.
After we land, I'm thinking of going to Piccadilly,
dropping by a beer shop on Tib Street,
will have a couple of drinks.
Then I go to the accommodation and have a sleep,
Moments are like bearable blood clots;
Survival is necessary,
This cannot be overestimated,
but I must accept that there are ruined things
which cannot be repaired
So, you can stay here, but I will disappear.
The aluminium is gleaming in the sunlight;
the unknown brings relief since
there is not too much to worry about,
because when you are entirely bereft,
there's nothing to insist on;
The cliches, including this one,
offer me a fleeting moment of the false way,
which is much more than expected from this day.
