Tibor de Nagyról szerettem volna megtudni ezt-azt, de szinte sehol semmi. Magyarul meg tényleg semmi. Amit tudok róla: Tibor de Nagy galéria alapítója (New York) Debrecenben született 1903-ban. Közgazdásznak tanult, majd a Magyar Nemzeti Bankban dolgozott. A 2. világháború alatt elveszítette a gyűjteményét - már akkoriban is érdekelte a műgyűjtés. 1948-ban emigrált az USA-ba, ahol megalapította a galériáját. 1993-ban halt meg Manhettemben. Eredetileg Jane Freilicherrel kapcsolatosan jutott eszembe, aki tegnap halt meg és a Tibor de Nagy galéria volt a galériája.
