Charles Bukowski tegnap lett volna 96 éves, majd holnap iszok egy-két sört a szülinapjára, addig is elővettem a The Last Night of the Earth Poems című kötetét és olvasgatom, nem, nincs "kedvencem", tőle, hanem csak azért, mert jó. A legszebb Wagner-hez írt vers ebben a könyben van, "my German buddy" a címe:

tonight
drinking Singha
malt liquor from
Thailand
and listening to
Wagner
I can't believe that
he is not in
the other
room
or around the
corner
or alive
someplace
tonight
and he is
of course
as I am taken
by the sound of
him
and little goosebumps
run along
both of my
arms
then a
chill
he's here
now.


A jókívánságok letudva, vissza a mocsaramba, nézegetem az órát, pontosan 4 óra AM, csupa furaságot olvastam a neurális hálókról, lerombolja azt az illúziót, hogy bonyolult vagyok, pedig csak régóta fejlődök és egyre jobban ismételgetem ugyanazt, körbe-körbe. Valamit félreértettem, szándékosan, hogy összezavarjam magam.
